都柏林 Host Anthony&Pauline
Dublin Host Anthony&Pauline
This is Pauline and Anthony. I am so happy that this picture finally, successfully, 100% captured their appearance+personality+expression. I did it, YEAH!
Pauline is the wife. She is a lovely calm lady with a little bit fatty. She really is a good model. She can sit for a long time and look at me in focus.
Pauline is the first Irish person I have ever known. I planned to stay in my friend Panpan’s home but she was on a short road trip and stuck in traffic. Panpan then introduced me to Pauline and I stay with them for the first night in Dublin.
Pauline and I had never met but she still hosted me. They are really helpful people! (And Panpan’s charming effect is powerful!) I own lots of thanks to Pauline, Anthony and Panapn!
Pauline’s grandchildren+neighbour’s South East Asia kid+the small white dog were playing in Pauline’s home when I first arrived. 5 people and 1 dog sure would be lots of fun.
Granddaughter loves JUMPING. It seems a pair of slingshots were installed into her legs. I understood why the Rivedance (A classical tap dance production) would be a national dance that represent Ireland. This Irish young girl keep jumping up and down and they are just the basic steps for tap dance：）
Grandson was young. He likes to imitate his sister. Sister eats candy and he eats candy too. He follows his sister everywhere. They really have good relationship.
There are quite a lot of South East Asia people living in Hong Kong but the SE Asia kids and local kids seldom play together. I realised the thick wall between different races in Hong Kong and there are not much communication between different races when I looked at the SE Asia kids and the Irish kids happily playing together in Dublin.
Anthony is the husband. He is just an opposite from Pauline. It was a big challenge for him to sit down for a while to be a model. He started moving like monkey after a few minutes sitting on sofa. He kept reaching out for his beer under the sofa (the yellow cup in the right-low corner in the picture). Pay attention to his eyes on the picture, his body still in the sofa but his soul is already flying to the moon…
Anthony loves Ireland very much. He had driven me to his favourite forest and lake for walking a couple times.
Ireland had a rich water resources. Water is just flowing out on the road in maintains and rush downhill like a moving transparent carpet.
Anthony is a Mountain Meitheal volunteer.(and so does Panpan) They would build little bridges, emergency houses in mountains for the climbers, nature lovers and EVERYONE. Anthony stood in front of a little river and pointing to a little ‘bridge’ made by rocks and proudly present, ‘I had help building it!’
Anthony like to play traditional Irish folk songs on the long drive. He care about the society and loves to discuss politics. He had lots of quotes like:
When driving pass a British statue:
We should bomb it off. Why shouldn’t we set up an Irish statue?!
About Scotland decide to stay with England after referendum:
The Scoots will regret.
All Brits are bad, except The Beatles.
The Irish government was considering to charge water tax (water was always free). Anthony goes to street to protest.
I asked, ‘Did the government arrest you?’
Anthony, ‘They refused to arrest me, I wish they did! That would be an international scandal if I was arrested by protesting against water tax,’
I asked Anthony and Pauline to sit for a ‘most relaxing pose’. They chose their own main coloring outline. (Anthony pick green because green represent Ireland and Pauline pick red because she likes color red)
The posture, expression and little objects precisely captured their personality and habit. I really love this picture and it’s a big success!
